Dr. Mario J. Molina (1943-2020) was a visionary Mexican-born atmospheric chemist, whose work in identifying the link between the destruction of the ozone layer and chlorofluorocarbons contributed to the sustainability of life on Earth. His work and legacy were celebrated during the TAMU Hispanic Heritage Month 2021.
